+: Despite being close to Taqsim Square, the property's location was poor and unclean due to the poorly maintained roadway.

-: many items on the reservation was false, including the availability of gas. I requested the manager for gas so that I could cook, but he refused. The microwave dish functioned there as well. You must also inquire about the kettle! since you are not provided by default. You have to ask them for the cleaning room because they don't have any cleaning schedules!

+: Lemon Residence is perfectly located - just a few minutes walk from Taxim Square, where you can get transport to pretty much anywhere in the city, including the airport, and very close to Istiklal Street - a pedestrianised zone with all manner of shops, boutiques, restaurants and cafes, as well as exchange bureaus that offer the best rates in the city. Perfect for a first-time visit to Istanbul! It may seem like a dodgy area to begin with, but we found it safe enough to walk around at pretty much any time of day or night. The staff at Lemon are great - super friendly and helpful, and they let us leave our luggage when we checked out on the last day, which was great because our flight wasn't until midnight so we had the whole day to do museumsightseeingshopping! The rooms are kept clean, with fresh towels and bedsheets (non-synthetic!) as well as bedroom slippers on request.

-: The room was a bit smaller than we expected, and the soundproofing is not great, so we could hear our neighbours upstairs as well as anybody in the lobby or using the stairs.
