+: Check in, check out and location: Greeted with a wonderful, stress-free check-in experience. Everything was clearly explained at the beginning. Location is wonderful- around 15 minutes walk from the town of Elounda, with fantastic views over Elounda Bay and Spinalonga Island. Check-out was also a pleasant, stress-free experience. Very pleasantly surprised by a lovely little ornamental gift from the staff upon departure- very thoughtful. Food: nice variety of tasty food at the buffet. A-la-carte sushi restaurant was absolutely top-notch. Highly recommended. Room: spacious, clean, well-equippedsupplied and with a lovely balcony with a view over the bay (Sapphire Nest room type). Staff: wonderful on all counts- really friendly, helpful people. Amenities: private beach was great for spending the afternoons relaxing, especially great with the bar on the beach. Gym facilities are excellent- very well equipped. Grab&Go drinks fridge (basically a fridge full of soft drinks you can help yourself to) is a useful concept!

-: There were a few small negative points, which didn't really affect the quality of my stay, but I'd still like to point them out for management to take note for the future. 1) Non-guests wandering onto the private beach unchallenged. On one occasion, a family group appeared on the beach (definitely non-guests, as family group included children... the hotel is adults only). It was brought to the attention of the staff member at the bar on the beach, but no action was taken. 2) Housekeeping was quite inconsistent- coming at different times each day, sometimes not resupplying things like beach towels and shower gels. More consistent timings and resupplies would be an improvement. 3) Behaviour of so-called "influencers" at the hotel. I understand that staff cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of other guests, and I understand that social media influencers are a great marketing opportunity... but this was a big negative point in the stay. "Influencers" were spotted rearranging breakfast foods with their bare hands, in order to take more photogenic photos of the food... this is a hygiene concern. Also, their constant filming and photographing made some guests (including myself) quite uncomfortable, knowing I'm going to appear on some strangers' social media feed somewhere. 4) This one was more funny, than serious... I had to have a little laugh... but I don't know if anyone realised that the British flag (in the row of flags in from of the hotel) is flying upside-down. 5) Some items included on the digital menu, were discontinued- keeping the menu up-to-date is important. I went to order a smoothie at one point, only to be told they aren't served any more. As I say, these points are simply recommendations for improvements in the future- I want to make it clear that I still had a WONDERFUL holiday!

+: We liked everything about Domes Aulus Elounda. Our room was spacious and modern, the bed was huge and extremely comfortable, the a-c was unobtrusive and the view was incredible. The all-inclusive elements are managed with care and we particularly enjoyed the Cretan specialties that were always part of the buffet. We also ate in the grill restaurant and the sushi restaurant so there are multiple options for dinner, which we really enjoyed. We went to the beach every day and loved the beach bar with really tasty sandwiches and salads that you can just help yourself too. Beyond the practical, what we really appreciated was the atmosphere of genuine care the hotel staff worked really hard to create. Their hospitality was really outstanding. No request was too much trouble and we felt really looked after. Examples include Nikos at the beach bar who works really hard to create interesting Greek cocktails for the guests and who chats with genuine interest to the guests and Zoe in reception who always responded incredibly cheerfully to our questions and organized a late check out for us with no fuss at all. We are already planning a return trip! It was exceptional.

+: Wer Erholung sucht ist in diesem Resort genau richtig! Eine außergewöhnliche Anlage man fühlt sich richtig wohl. Das Essen war an hoher Qualität. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Personal unglaublich wie aufmerksam und freundlich das gesamte Team hier ist. Dieses Resort kann ich zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt, wir sind erholt zuhause angekommen.
