+: I have been travelling frequently and extensively for decades mainly for leasure purposes and stay mostly at airb&b and short term rental apartments. Surfers Beach Self Catering Apartments are among the best (out of the circa 25-30 apartments I have stayed so far worldwide), in all respect: location, comfort, kitchen, cleanliness, staff, layout, spaciness. Easy check-in, late check-out, helpful and always available owner, daily cleaning, great, open, widespread view on the Indian Ocean, 1 minute walk to the nearest beach (Anse Parnel), properly equipped kitchen (which really made real self catering feasible for us - we cooked dinner nearly every evening), shady big ocean facing terrace, Good location to explore the entire island - providing you rent a car. Airco and fans were highly efficient and silent. Surfers Beach is only 10 minutes drive from the - in my opinion - best 2 beaches on the Island. Would I return? Yes, definitely!
-: Some minor issues: despite some previous reviews, there is no outside shower foot washing tap in the garden (or at least we could not find it). This would be really useful, as public toilets showersfoot washing utilities are unknown on the beaches of Mahé Island (we have been to like 20, and none of them had any such facilities....though some have open-air fitness parks...) Some curtain would be useful and practical on the bathroom windows. So do insect-net on some of the doorswindows.
