+: The room was big and beautiful, full of useful utensils, even a beach mat. The wardrobe was a small room inside! Beautiful garden and friendly staff.

+: Stayed in one of the wooden bungalows near the hotel entrance. Mozzie net over the bed, towels provided, even a beach mat and umbrella. No problem with mosquitoes. Some rain (it was low season). Breakfast brought to the room at 7am (our request). 120baht for 2 people. Amazing value. Late afternoon and evening a food festival and live entertainment took place along the beach road. Starting the night we arrived. This was very pleasant. Highly recommend Kata Country House. Staff very helpful. Banana Beach, snorkelling and jet skiing saved our holiday. Wait for a sunny day to see the Islands.

-: With the COVID disaster, Phuket tourism has been devastated. Kata and Karon beaches were like ghost towns. All that was missing was tumbleweed rolling down the street. Beaches were virtually empty (this is good and bad). Most shops and entertainment closed. Patong also very quiet. Rawai Beach has more life and interest just now. Lots of great hotel deals to be had everywhere on the Island.
